Spanish Lessons

At Happy Feet Nursery we offer a second Language for our Little Early Learners who are in their last year of nursery. Due to research learning an additional language increases critical thinking skills, creativity and flexibility of the mind in young children. There are no additional fees payable for Spanish lessons, they are free of charge!

During their weekly lessons the children are introduced to a number of basic language skills such as numbers, colours and shapes along with more detailed topics such as body parts and the weather. The lessons are fun, invigorating, interesting and exciting, with the children learning new songs and words every week.

Spanish is embedded throughout the playrooms with signs on displays, books in the story corner and staff using small words throughout the day. Introducing the basic words to all the children during their play reinforces what the children have been learning during the lessons.
